Templestowe Lower Real Estate

Summary

Templestowe Lower Real Estate Apart from the original Templestowe township itself, the development of Lower Templestowe preceded that of greater Templestowe. The area is predominantly a post-war suburb, with substantial development occurring in the 1950s and 1960s. The name Templestowe comes from a mythical place in Sir Walter Scott's novel Ivanhoe. Lower Templestowe today is a well-established residential area, with a relatively stable population. An increase in dwellings between 1996 and 2001 was offset by a decline in average household size.
