A uniquely liveable area, and distinct from much of the rest of Melbourne, Manningham has broad open roads, rolling hills with views, large open parks including some of Melbourne's largest open public areas covering approximately 17% of the municipality. More than 300 parks are located within its borders. The city also features a far greater coverage of residential living with little focus on commercial, and nearly no industry which has given the area a uniquely livable feel, with clean air, light traffic, a great range of gyms, cafes and shopping centres including the new expanded Westfield Doncaster.
Manningham is a blend of both city and country, with the quickly developing Doncaster Hill precinct which features new soaring residential towers and apartments and areas like Donvale, Park Orchards, Templestowe and Warrandyte that feature large acres. Hobby farms, and horse properties.

Manningham also enjoys being the gateway and on the door step to the Yarra Valley winery region, being only 10mins away from Warrandyte's edge.
